Grocery Store in Kanab, Utah & Jackson, Wyoming

When I go to a new town, I always want to know where the grocery store is. Because when I am hungry, I need food. Also, I like to buy water, snacks, and sometimes fruit. In this story, I will talk about two places: Kanab, Utah and Jackson, Wyoming. I went to both towns. I will tell you what grocery stores I saw and what I bought.

Grocery Stores in Kanab, Utah

Kanab is a small town in southern Utah. It is very close to Arizona. The town is quiet and pretty. There are red rocks and nice people. I stayed in Kanab for three days. I looked for a grocery store on the first day.

The first store I saw was Glazier’s Market. It is not too big, but it has many things. It is clean and easy to walk around. The workers are friendly. I said, “Hi,” and they smiled back. I bought apples, bread, and a bottle of juice. The apples were fresh and sweet. The juice was cold and tasted good.

Glazier’s also has a small deli. You can buy sandwiches and chicken. I did not eat there, but I saw people buying food and they looked happy. There is also a bakery. I smelled fresh bread. I think it was good.

Another place is Honey’s Marketplace. It is a little bigger than Glazier’s. They have more vegetables and fruit. Also, they sell some camping stuff. That is good because many people come to Kanab to hike or camp. I bought bananas, cookies, and a sandwich. The sandwich had turkey and cheese. It was tasty.

Honey’s also has a gas station outside. If you drive, you can stop for gas and food in one place. That is very helpful.

Grocery Stores in Jackson, Wyoming

Jackson is a small town too, but it is more busy than Kanab. Many people come here to ski or go to Yellowstone. The town has many stores and restaurants. I also found good grocery stores.

The first one is Albertsons. This store is big. I liked walking inside. There are many things to see. I bought milk, cereal, and a salad. I wanted to eat healthy because I ate too much pizza the day before. The salad was very good. It had chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Albertsons also has a pharmacy. You can buy medicine or vitamins there. The store is clean and the people working there are kind. One woman helped me find peanut butter. I said thank you and she smiled.

Another good place is Jackson Whole Grocer. This store is a little fancy. They have organic food and special drinks. I saw kombucha and green juice. The prices are higher, but the food is very fresh. I bought some grapes and a sandwich. The grapes were sweet and not soft. That is how I like them.

Jackson Whole Grocer has a small place to sit and eat. I saw people eating soup and salad there. It looked nice. There is also a coffee bar. I did not get coffee, but it smelled very good. Next time I will try it.

Which One Is Best?

I liked all the grocery stores. In Kanab, Glazier’s is small and friendly. Honey’s is bigger and has more things. In Jackson, Albertsons is good for many things. Jackson Whole Grocer is best for healthy food.

If you want cheap food, go to Albertsons or Honey’s. If you want special or healthy food, go to Jackson Whole Grocer. If you want to buy fast lunch, Glazier’s deli is good too.

My Favorite Things

In Kanab, I liked the bread at Glazier’s. It was soft and warm. I ate it with butter. At Honey’s, I liked the bananas. They were not too ripe, just perfect.

In Jackson, I liked the salad from Albertsons. It made me feel healthy. From Jackson Whole Grocer, I liked the grapes a lot. I also liked the look of the store. It was bright and clean.

Some Tips

If you go to Kanab or Jackson, don’t forget your bag. Some stores charge money for plastic bags. Also, check the hours. Some stores close early. In Kanab, Glazier’s closes at 9 PM. In Jackson, stores are open later.

If you want snacks, fruit, or drinks, you can find them in all the stores. But if you want hot food, go to the deli or prepared food section. Most stores have something ready to eat.

Also, prices in Jackson are a little higher. Because it is a tourist town. Kanab is a bit cheaper
